 he Mokrina, or marsh, makes up more than half of the Foedus lands. Consisting mainly of oak & hornbeam floodplain forest, the Mokrina provides numerous resources. In addition to timber, the trees supply leaves and bark to make tannin for tanning leather. Reeds grown in marsh pools supply materials for basket-weavers, and clay beds provide clay for potters. Various plants provide herbs for cooks, brewers, and meaders, and flowering plants provide dyes for cloth yarn. Flowering plants also provide pollen for the Foedus bees, which in turn supply wax for chandlers and honey for cooks and meaders.
The Mokrina also supplies vis for the magi, from sources as varied as magical egret nests and bubbling swamp gas. And the Mokrina is home to the Mokrinadrak, a slumbering dragon which has only rarely been encountered, and even more rarely seen.
