aledonia contains eight registered conventa, including Crun Clach, the Sedes Merceris and site of Tribunal meetings. Caledonia includes all of Scotland and many of the offshore isles; following Tribunal Grandis 1261 AD, the border between Caledonia and Britannia follows Hadrian's Wall.

Many magi in Caledonia do not reside at registered conventa. Many live in solitary abodes, and some wander throughout the land, never remaining at one location for very long. Such magi are known as Aonoranan.
