rekavatn occupies a small island in a large caldera lake north of Vatnajökull in Thule. Turn Drekavatns, a massive tower of conjured pale granite, rises over one hunderd and seventy feet into the sky, occupying all of the island base, with a stone pier jutting out from one side the only visible evidence of the rock of the island.

For most of the year, the lake is frozen. In Winter and early Spring, the ice is thick enough to traverse safely, but by late Spring, the ice has thinned and is treacherous. In Autumn, the lake begins to freeze, but the ice is too thin to support a person's weight until late Autumn.

As a locus of Capitulum Arcis Caelitis, Drekavatn is governed by Chartula Arcis Caelitis and Chartula Emendationis Drekavatns. It is registered with Domus Merceris as a conventum in Tribunal Caledoniae, but is registered at Crun Clach, meaning that caduceatores do not travel to Drekavatn to deliver messages.
