ribunal Caledoniae includes conventa and magi throughout Scotland and the surrounding isles. Caledonia borders Britannia to the south, and Hibernia to the southwest, across the Sruth na Maoile. Germania lies to the east, across the North Sea. Many magi in Caledonia do not live in registered conventa, but live in isolated homes or settlements scattered throughout the hills and moors of the Tribunal. Mostly deserving of its reputation as a lawless place for hedge wizards and outcasts, Caledonia has recently begun to develop towards something resembling a normal Tribunal. Most discussion during Tribunal is in Gaelic, and even most Tribunal records are in Gaelic (using Latin orthography in most cases). Those Latin magi who wish to engage in Tribunal, or even with magi outside Tribunal, must learn to speak at least some Gaelic, although a small minority also speak Norse.
