orsingas never accepted the Norman conquest, and has been fighting a low-profile war against Normans for centuries, gradually retreating to the north. Descendents of the original magi established the conventum in its current location in the early 12th century. As the English lords have made inroads into lowland Scotland, various Scottish lords have joined the Normans in the list of Horsingas's enemies.

Accused repeatedly of interference with mundanes, Horsingas finally invited Quaesitor Proceus Guernici to join in 1228 AD. His presence, if anything, has made Horsingas more bold in its actions, although they always remain technically allowable under Lex Hermei.
