urnham occupies a stone motte and bailey castle on a river promontory; a portion of the river has been diverted to form a moat around the castle, effectively forming an island. The coventum has a writ of crenellation from Henry II, allowing it to hold the castle without an oath of fealty in return. Burnham keeps to itself, and does not welcome visitors, providing ample but brief hospitality to visiting caduceatores. Although the conventum sends a representative to Tribunal, typically Caitlin, she does not engage in politics and often abstains from voting. Although originally in Britannia, following Tribunal Grandis 1261 AD, Burnham registered in Caledonia.
