Valdis was the ward of Semindur, a giant encountered by Praecisus and companions during an unplanned visit to Iceland. In exchange for his aid, Semindur required Praecisus to train Valdis as a discipula Bonisagi. He apparently had previous knowledge of the Ordo Hermei, and knew of the reputation of Bonisagus as a teacher. Praecisus agreed and returned with Valdis to Porta Germaniae, where he Opened her Gift to the Hermetic Arts.

As an exotic stranger with a Blatant Gift, Valdis had few friends at Porta Germaniae. Aside from Praecisus, Securia, and a few servants, she rarely had contact with others. She does not think this strange, as in her previous home, she rarely had contact with others. She arranged to bear a child with Vezio Merceris, and birthed twins in 1250 AD (Dagmaer & Halstein). A brief liaison with Valerijs resulted in a second set of twins (Fríða & Njörðr) in 1253 AD, and another liaison gave her a third set of twins (Aki & Ragna) in 1255 AD. Vezio Merceris returned to claim his daughter Dagmaer in 1255 AD, and took her to Durenmar to be trained by Xavier Merceris. She bore a seventh child (Tóki) in the Winter of 1257 AD, and another three (Bjartr, Guðríður & Signý) in 1259 AD. In 1260 AD she gave birth to Sólveig, called Drekkadottir, and then twins Þórgísl & Kóri in 1261 AD. Her daughter Njála and son Ásgeirr were born in 1263 AD, and her son Sundri in 1266 AD. Finally, she birthed her youngest daughter Eydís in 1267 AD.

Valdis declared for Weissdorngilde at Tribunal Germaniae 1256 AD. She requested to become Ascripticii Capituli for Arx Caeles in 1261 AD, and moved to Arx Caeles in 1262 AD. In 1270 AD she registered Drekavatn a Tribunale Caledoniae.

Valdis has developed several original spells, some of which do not make sense within the bounds of standard Hermetic theory, but which function for her nonetheless. She resides at Drekavatn with her adult children and discipula Eydís. She speaks Norse and Latin.
