abat Kasbah occupies the previously abandoned Kasbah of Rabat, built by Al-Mansur in the late 12th century. Jalloun and his family have begun restoring the Kasbah to use as a fortress of retreat, and have registered in Tribunal Africae.

Each magus has an assigned hayi (neighborhood or quarter) within the Kasbah. Dahlia Fassia has established her maladh (sanctum) within the gardens at the southern end, overlooking both the main gate and the Bou Regreg river. The gardens have a minor second magnitude magical aura.

The hayi between the gardens and the main gate, just to the north of her maladh, is Dahlia's hayi. To the east of the gardens, Jalloun's hayi overlooks the river. Zayed's hayi lies to the north and west of Jalloun's, near the center of the Kasbah. The northern hayi, where the (inactive) mosque is located, is mostly uninhabited, although guards patrol it occasionally to ensure no squatters are permitted to remain, and use the old mosque minaret as a watchtower.
