ribunal Syriae, the Tribunal of the Levant, is the youngest Tribunal in Ordo Hermei, formed in the mid twelfth century when conventa in the Levant split off from Tribunal Graeciae. Many new conventa have formed since then, and a few have perished. Contention between Christian and Muslim magi has erupted in open violence with increasing frequency, and the Treaty of Baghdad seems to have demised along with its author, Aurora Borealis Jerbitonis. Syria borders Graecia to the east, and Sarmatia to the far north. Magi from Western Tribunalia such as Aquitania, Gallia, and Roma have moved to Syria in greater numbers in recent decades; whether this will strengthen Syria, or merely add to the contention, remains to be seen.
