omus Pacis, the House of Peace, sits at the base of a cliff about eleven miles north of Jerusalem. To outward appearance, it is a khan, or trade hostel, where merchants can shelter overnight. Inside the cliff, however, a series of caves contain the conventum proper. Founded in the mid twelfth century as a place for Hermetic and non-Hermetic wizards to meet and exchange knowledge, Domus Pacis had been the abode of the Praeco, Tau Criamonis, until his recent demise. Although quite large, some number of its magi are typically absent, traveling about the region seeking to form bonds of harmony and peace with the local wizards.
