  apitulum Constansiae lies on the island of Mainau in Lake Constance, east of the town of Konstanz.
The island is owned by the Teutonic Knights: the capitulum has leased the island for decades, and maintains reasonably good relations with the Teutonic Order and with the nearby Abbey of Reichenau. Beautriu Jerbitonis sometimes works with the illuminators of Reichenau.
The island is largely devoted to gardens and orchards, with a small fishing hamlet on the south shore. Three magi reside at Constansiae, along with a moderate number of servants and covenfolk.
