Laertes
Casa Laertes is the single wealthiest and most influential of the 17 Casas Crantas (Great Houses). Laertes relies primarily upon its huge shipping fleets, which sail to ports as distant as Karatas, Bustaba and Ixtas. Laertes also provides banking services to many merchants and traders, including some of the other Casas. Laertes operates Arcas Vinculas (House Banks) in Merochas, Jyvelik, Belaquin, Malyk, Karatas, Bustaba, Ixtas, and Daenj.
Laertes ships are constructed in the Laertes shipyards at Laertovilla, north of Merochas city.
Cesan te Laertes is the Casa Patron (Head of the Casa).  The Vicilano (Spymaster) is Alejantro te Jyleses TimisoaraseMicelano Sutilo te Laertes is Mantatario (Representative) to the ConsejoViviana Cicini Projijosa is Volsatora (Head of Trade and Finances) for Casa Laertes, and Cevreto Luis Narenes is the Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.

Vincentio
Casa Vincentio owns one of the largest shipping fleets of any of the Casas Crantas.
In addition, Vincentio also has a huge fishing fleet of coastal vessels, which provide much of the seafood that Merochas consumes. Although Merochas has many independent fishermen as well, Casa Vincentio's boats bring in over half of the total daily catch for the entire Merochasan region.
Casa Vincentio ships are built in the Vincentio shipyards near Altea te Vincentio on the coast.
The Casa Patron is Urivano te VincentioCaleno te Vincentio is Vicilano, and Leon te Vincentio is Volsator.  The Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa is Quintin Livio te Lucio.
Distaff families include the Lucio, Mauricio, Trajano, and Eujaves.

 

 

 


 

Camiyo
Casa Camiyo is the preeminent leader of the Bustaban spice trade. Camiyo imports cloves, nostinra (nutmeg), cinnamon, ginger, mace, pimienta (black pepper), and turmeric. In addition, Camiyo often imports teka (teak wood) from Bustaba.
Camiyo is also the leading merchant dealing in perfumes and scented oils and ungeunts in Merochas, some of which Camiyo produces itself, and some it imports from Karatas.
Crecario Manuel te Camiyo is Casa Patron.  Teovilo te Agata is Volsator, and Vrancesca Judita te Camiyo is Asesora ("advisor" - actually equivalent to the Vicilano of other houses).  Neron te Erales is Volsator Especial ("Spice" Volsator, not "special" Volsator), who manages Camiyo's operations in Bustaba.  Lucano te Laertes Casato is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include the Agata, Cenones, Erales, and Verones.

 

 

 


 

Solinus
Casa Solinus is one of the wealthiest of the Casas Crantas. Solinus provides the most reliable and widespread banking services of any of the Casas. Arcas Vinculas are located in Merochas, Belaquin, Malyk, Faethun, Laabor, Pelos, Jyvelik, Daenj, Ixtas, Bustaba, Karatas, and Zur. Solinus also owns vast citrus orchards in the upper delta, and possesses a small but well-armed fleet which carries its citrus and its gold to distant ports.
Vruto Acuto te Solinus is Casa Patron.  His grandson, Jerico te Plinio, is Mantatario, and his nephew, Vernarto Colon te Mateo, is Volsator (and serves as the equivalent of Vicalino as well).  Tieco Martin te Itencio Casato is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include the Itencio, Plinio, Mateo, and Arquienatas.

 

 

 


 

Consalo
Casa Consalo is famous among the wealthy of many lands as hosts to the most spectacular gaming available in the region. The House operates Caritos (gambling houses) at several locations throughout the city of Merochas, and also in Brailas and at the exclusive Casa te Jueco estate near Timisoara.
Consalo is also well-known for its fine quality wines. Consalo wines are exported throughout the region, and are sold at bargain prices at all Caritos.
The Casa Patron is Tamien te Consalo.  Constanza Roja te Consalo is Vicilano, and Jose Pavlo te Mostelo is Volsator.  The Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa is Ravalo Ysan te Jeries.
Distaff families include the Mostelo, Jerjes, and Olvierio (Valtasare).

 

 

 


 

Lysantre
Casa Lysantre is the only Casa Cran to actively trade in arms, armor, and mercenary troops. Lysantre has a lucrative contract with the civic government to provide 5,000 mercenaries for ele Ejercito Merochasas (the Merochasan army - over two-thirds of mercenaries in the army). Lysantre imports fine arms and armor from Jyvelik and Karatas. Lysantre also contracts with Merochasan craftsmen to produce arms and armor, but the quality of locally produced arms is not as fine as that of the Jyvelan and Karatasan arms.
Craco Nitan te Lysantre is Casa Patron.  Justiano te Lysantre is Capitane te'os Tropas te CasaCasa Lysantre has no Vicilano, but Capitane te Reconnaissance Tito te Lysantre fills that function.  Homero Caleno te Lysantre serves as both Mantatario and Volsator, and is normally in charge of all Casa functions in the city of Merochas itself.
Distaff families include the Nizaci, Pintali, and Vasilio.

 

 

 


 

Varrius
Casa Varrius is a leading importer and producer of spices and medicinal herbs. Varrius competes with Camiyo in the lucrative Bustaban spice trade, but also sends annual trading expeditions to Karatas and Ixtas to seek herbs with medicinal or esoteric properties.
Varrius Vrujos (mystic adepts) and Cimicos (alchemists) are famous for their herbal concoctions using exotic ingredients from faraway lands.
Varrius controls the salt wells in the northwest of Merochas, giving it a near-monopoly on domestic salt.
Jorje Etuarto Varrius is Casa Patron.  Lorenzo Varrius is Volsator, and Velicia Julieta te Revaci is Vicilana.  Estevan te Lazaro is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include the Herotio, Lutami, Revaci, and Lazaro (Laertes).

 

 

 


 

Tyvalt
Casa Tyvalt has the third-largest shipping fleet in Merochas. Tyvalt ships are mostly rivercraft, with which the House trades in Pelos, Daenj, northern Belaquin, and Malyk. Many of the products which flow down the Chasega and Pelou rivers to Merochas do so on Tyvalt boats. Tyvlat does have a small oceanic fleet as well.
Tyvalt also owns large avocado plantations in the lower delta. Tyvalt's city estate is rather small, the Tyvalt family preferring to live on their delta manor estates, rather than in the crowded city.
The Casa Patron is Salustio Campaso te Tyvalt.  Caspar Eneas te Tyvalt is Volsator.  Cualterio Tici te Tyvalt Casato serves as Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa and, where needed, as Vicilano.
Distaff families include the Tici, Isitorio, Velipi, Sovocio, Satari, and Avelarto.

 

 

 


 

Stevano
Casa Stefano is a producer of fine Merochasan glassware. Stevano glass is famous throughout the region for its clarity and beauty.
In addition, Stevano provides an exclusive banking service in Mekystan, where it is the only Merochasan House allowed to do so. Stevano also maintains Arcas Vinculas in Merochas, Belaquin, Jyvelik, and Pelos.
Rotrico Tateo te Stevano is Casa Patron.  Ernesto te Letonio is Volsator, and the Vicilano is Juan Tirioles.  Joaquim Valo te Stevano is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include the Navorri, Letonio, Jelieja, and Tirioles.

 

 

 

 


 

Sevastion
Casa Sevastion produces and imports rare spices and fine quality wood. The Sevastion estates are located in the northwest, near the Jyvelan border. Sevastion operates timber harvesting throughout the hardwood forests to the west, as well as cultivating imported teak trees from Ixtas on its own lands near the river.
Sevastion also cultivates pimientone (cayenne pepper spice), paprika, and imported nostinra (nutmeg).  Sevastion is a large importer of Itasu cinnamon (cassia), T'Nubci pepper (allspice), and sukra (sugar) from Ixtas.
Lutero Emilio te Sevastion is Casa Patron.  Eujenio te Carlotes is Vicilano.  Salomon te Sevastion is Volsator.  The Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa is Enrique te Sevastion.
Distaff families include the Hajimenes, Dalinoces, Carlotes, Inesio, and Cracio.

 

 

 


 

Escalus
Casa Escalus produces and imports fine quality textiles, including a large share of the Ixtasan silk trade. Escalus-sponsored tailors make many of the clothes worn by the wealthy and privileged of Merochas and surrounding lands. Escalus estates in the north produce valuable cotton cloth for export or sale in the city.
Juanita Teresa te Escalus is Casa Matron.  Veterico Ruperto te Escalus, her brother, is Volsator.  Jeronimo Rosa Tertulio is the Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.  Escalus has no Vicilano - such matters are handled either by the Capitane or by Juanita herself.
Distaff families include the Tertulio, Sansones, Vertalo, and Otoni.

 

 

 


 

Jacimo
Casa Jacimo is one of the few true Casas Campas ("Country Houses"). Its major sources of wealth are all located outside of the city, in its vast vinyards in the southwest and in its citrus orchards near Jeranioso. Jacimo's city estate is primarily a political asset, allowing the House to compete in the maze of civic politics and commercial conflict which pervades House relations in Merochas.
The Casa Patron is Renato Tominco te Jacimo.  His wife, Julieta te Heriluto Jacimo Casata, is Volsator and Mantatario.  His son Ramon Heriluto te Jacimo is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.  Ezequiel Arjeles is Vicilano.
Distaff families include the Arjeles, Bernatos, Tracia, Ostentes, and Heriluto (Viontello).

 

 

 


 

Rinalto
Casa Rinalto competes with Stevano and Orlanto in producing fine quality glassware. Rinalto specializes in producing colored glass of exceptional clarity, and Rinalto glass is used extensively in windows throughout the region.
Rinalto also controls the largest source of mercury in the region, at the cinnabar deposits in the northeast. Rinalto operates cinnabar mines outside Rinaltovilla and across the easternmost branch of the Chasega delta, on the very border of the Wastes. For this reason, Rinalto adepts specialize in spiritual magic and defenses. Even so, dozens of miners die each year from Waste entities and related causes.
Cotovreto Luis te Rinalto is Casa Patron.  Timoteo Jonaso is Vicilano.  Javier Veterico te Rinalto is Volsator, and Vircilio Sovocles te Rosario Casato is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include Saltino, Rosario, and Jonaso.

 

 

 


 

Vionteyo
Casa Vionteyo is one of the Casas Campas which depend more on their estates and less on the city itself for their wealth and power. Vionteyo is a major wine producer, with extensive vineyards in the dry western borderlands. Vionteyo orchards near Pisaluto also produce a large share of the Merochasan fig crop each year.
Compared to the larger Houses, Vionteyo seems less influential; its businesses more pedestrian. Vionteyo has old ties to several of the larger Houses, however, and its political influence in government is substantial.
Vilipe Leantro te Vionteyo is Casa Patron.  The Volsator and Vicilano is Mercurio te Vionteyo.  Tomas Renalto te Vetrases is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.
Distaff families include Vetrases, Heriluto (Jacimo), Alano, Cicerones, and Tuciteses.

 

 

 


 

Orlanto
Casa Orlanto is the smallest of the three Merochasan glass producers (competing with Stevano and Rinalto in the lucrative market). Orlanto produces fine glassware, but is increasingly dependent on the artistry of outside contract artisans to maintain a competitive edge.  Orlanto also imports fine crystal from Pelos, which artisans then craft into beautiful glassware or works of art.
Orlanto also maintains large fig orchards in the west of the country, which it exports throughout the region.
The Casa Patron is Tionisio Caton te Orlanto.  He oversees all financial matters himself.  Carlos Venito Notales is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa.  Ciro te Orlanto is Vicilano, but he has very little actual authority.  Tionisio keeps many secrets to himself.
Distaff families include the Notales, Renato, and Vutalio.

 

 

 


 

Vertinan
Casa Vertinan is a great producer of fine quality textiles, and competes favorably with Casa Escalus in the Ixtasan silk trade. Vertinan derives its greatest competitive edge from its control of the sources for several rare dyes, including Carmesi Vertinan, a rich, bright red. Vertinan produces clothes of all types, including silk, cotton, linen, and wool.
Vertinan's estates in the west produce both cotton and wool.
Clemente Etmunto te Vertinan is Casa Patron.  Pio Estrabon Saverio is Volsator.  Mactalena Talina te Vertinan is Capitana te'os Tropas te Casa.  Julio Tristano te Vertinan is Vicilano.
Distaff families include Saverio and Lontres.

 

 

 


 

Valtasare
Casa Valtasare produces fine quality textiles, and competes with Vertinan and Escalus in that market. Its greatest product, however, is quality paper, made from linen rag fiber mixed with fiber from marsh-growing reeds in the delta and a light grayish clay found near Brailas in the north.
Valtasare paper is smoother and more resilient than any other paper known to Merochas. It is used in large quantities by the University and the College of Sorcery, and Valtasare exports it throughout the region.
Horacio Leopolto te Valtasare is Casa Patron.  The Volsator is Nicolas Alvreto te Valtasare.  Antres Zaraci is Capitane te'os Tropas te Casa, and Catulo Calio is Vicilano.
Distaff families include Calio, Juncario, Zaraci, and Olvierio (Consalo).
