Variously known as Lizardmen, Snakemen, or more derogatory names, Hssuga are not actually reptiles. While they do bear a close resemblance to a lizard walking upright, they are warm-blooded and give birth to live young.
	Many humans who are unfamiliar with Hssuga dismiss them as savages or animals. This is an unfortunate prejudice, since the Hssuga have produced several advanced cultures, all older by far than any Human society.   Human memories of these societies are largely unfavorable (with some justification), thus emphasizing Human prejudices.
