eczyca lies in a glade within a dense forest about twelve miles south of the city of Łęczyca in central Poland.
The Duchy of Łęczyca is the major mundane power in the area, having weathered the Mongol incursion. Leczyca did not fare so well. All of the magi resident at the conventum at the time of the invasion are known or presumed to be demised. The site remained uninhabited for several years, until Quaesitor Pavel Chedyav established a new sanctum amid the ruins in 1249 AD. He brought a few covenfolk from Triozera, but the conventum is almost entirely new, having been burned to the ground by the Mongols. Leczyca is a Conventum Avitum for Toparchia Occidens under Leges Tribunalis Sarmatiae; conventa in the west of Sarmatia are Tributum to Leczyca. In 1254 AD, several young Quaesitores were dispatched to support Tribunal Sarmatiae. One joined the effort to rebuild Leczyca. Other magi joined over the following years, helping to rebuild the fallen conventum.
