Varinka Janikadcera, daughter of Velek Vlčí, has always been athletic, outrunning the boys and learning to hunt rather than cook or spin. Her physical talents earned her a place as custos to Acritasia Bjornaer, and she trained with a group of similar youths for several years before assuming formal duties as custos.

She speaks Czech, and some Latin and Russian; Varinka resides with her husband Kaupo Vaulasyn in Sanctum Acritasiae in Manerium Valaamis.
