Boreum

oreum squats on the inner coast of a large sandbar island on the Baltic coast of Pomeralia, about twenty miles north of Danzig across the bay. During the Summer months, the island becomes a peninsula connected to the mainland by a thin sandbar, and to the island of Hel by a similar sandbar. Boreum was founded late in 1261 AD as Conventum Tributum to Leczyca, by magi Germaniae. Its most notable feature is its small shipyard - part of sanctum Mengotus Verditii, although most magi maintain sancta somewhat further inland, surrounded by trees to block the cold Baltic winds. Domus Merceris selected Boreum as a second Sedes Merceris Sarmatiae, and began construction in 1262 AD.
