Mutasami Raha ("Sublime Repose") was once a great center for Hermetic Sahirs. The Muslim magi fled the conventum as Crusaders began conquering the Algarve region in the 1240s AD, many going to Malja in Granada, taking the most valuable texts from the library with them. A group of Iberian magi claimed the site in 1245 AD, renamed it, and have been luxuriating in the splendor of the elder conventum since that time. It remains to be seen whether this winter conventum will be reborn into a new spring, or wither and perish.
