By explicit agreement among its magi, Muslim ships may pass safely through the nearby waters, but Christian vessels nearly always fall prey to storms and jinn commanded by the magi of Las Sirenas.

The conventum is difficult to reach without the ability to fly; rope hoists are available for those who cannot, but Las Sirenas does not welcome visitors; even redcaps leave messages at a shop in Almeria that exchanges supplies for salvaged material.
