Lámbaird lies in a secluded narrow valley about fifteen miles inland from Wicklow, at the northern end of MacMurrough territory. As the conventum closest to Dublin, Lámbaird must balance relationships with the Irish lords who control the land to the south, and the English lords who control County Dublin to the north. Visitors are provided hospitality, and are expected to abide by traditional Irish guest customs.
