irculus Ruber was the first conventum in Hibernia, founded in the early ninth century by magi Merinitae. Magi of other Domus joined over the decades, transforming it into a conventum multigenerum. Indeed, no magi Merinitae remain at Circulus Ruber.

Circulus Ruber occupies a magical aura around a large stone circle in the kingdom of Desmond, about twenty miles northwest of Cork, in Munster.
